When I go for my walks I tend to listen to a couple of podcasts and two out of the three mainstays are art based.  One is Art Juice which is brilliantly done by Alice Sheridan and Louise Fletcher and I look forward to every Tuesday so that I can listen to their laughs and gleams of everyday wisdom for artists.  The second is the Savvy Painter and I must admit I just recently have started to listen to this one.  The third is my break from art and is Rob Lowes' podcast called Literally.  But enough about that.

The podcasts bring me back to art when I feel like I have lost my way, my drive and my focus.  It is an entertaining way to redirect an unfocused mind back to desire instead of denial.

It was in the Art Juice podcast that I heard them mention the Sketchbook Project in which you send away for a sketchbook and when you have filled out the pages you send it back and it is then placed in their library and travels in bookmobiles so that others can view.  They even have a digital option which I subscribed to.

I am very excited to do this - as to be honest it has been a bit of a struggle to get back into a rhythm of art.  If you want to see my sketches I will be posting them here on my blog and on my instagram account - probably about 3 or 4 at a time.  Feel free to join me on this journey on my  instagram account @proppartist.
